He received his Ph.D degree in Chemistry of Materials from Nanjing Tech University in 2015. His current research interests include the synthesis and novel properties of hetero-structured nanomaterials.

Xiaobin Xu was born in 1990 in the Henan province of China. He received his BS degree from the Faculty of Chemistry, Northeast Normal University (NENU) in 2012. Then he joined the Department of Chemistry at Tsinghua University and conducted research on the synthesis of composite of polyoxometalates and metal-organic frameworks under the supervision of Professor Xun Wang.

Su He was born in Zigong, Sichuan, China. She received her bachelor degree in chemistry from Tsinghua University in 2014. She is now pursuing her master degree in inorganic chemistry at Tsinghua University. Her research focuses on the self-assembly of 2D nanostructures and the morphology control of MOF.

Azhar Mahmood received his MSc, degree in Chemistry from Bahauddin Zakariya University, and MPhil degree in Chemistry from The Islamia University, Pakistan. Currently, he is a PhD candidate under the supervision of Prof. Xun Wang at the Department of Chemistry, Tsinghua University Beijing China. His current research work focuses on the synthesis of Noble Metal Nanostructures and their applications.

Haifeng Lin is currently a postdoctoral researcher in Professor Xun Wang’s group in the Department of Chemistry, Tsinghua University, China. He received his bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Inner Mongolia University, China (2009), and his PhD degree in inorganic chemistry from Fujian Institute of Research on the Structure of matter (FJIRSM), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), China (2014). His present study interests are centered on the synthesis, characterization and application of ultrathin nanostructures.
Huihui Zhu received her Ph.D degree from University of Science and Technology Beijing in 2014. She is interesting in synthesizing photoelectric nanomaterials of oxides and hetero-structured materials.

Farhat Nosheen pursued her PhD degree under the supervision of Prof. Xun Wang in the Department of Chemistry, Tsinghua University from 2012 to 2016. She received her master’s degree in Analytical/Inorganic Chemistry from University of Sargodha (UOS), Pakistan. Her research interests included the synthesis, and electrocatalytic properties of noble metal based nanocrystals.
Project : Controlled synthesis of noble metal nanostructures at atomic level to tune their electrocatalytic properties.
Faisal Saleem is a Pakistani national, native of Gujranwala, Punjab. After completing M.Phil from Bahauddin Zakariya University (BZU) Pakistan, Faisal had joined Dr. Wang Xun group at Tsinghua University China, in 2012 as a PhD student. And he received his Ph.D. degree in the Department of Chemistry, Tsinghua University in 2016.His research involves synthesis of atomically thick alloys nanosheets, Core-shell and multi-metallic nano-frames for electro-oxidation of ethanol, methanol and formic acid..

Peilei He was born in Linfen, Shanxi, China. She received her bachelor degree in applied chemistry from Beijing University of chemical technology (BUCT) in 2011. She pursued her Ph.D. degree in inorganic chemistry at Tsinghua University from 2011 to 2016. Her research focused on the self-assembly of polyoxometalate and exploration of their electrocatalytic and organocatalytic properties.

Huiling Liu was born in Liaoning province, China. She received her B.S. in Polymer Chemistry from Jilin University and joined the Wang group in 2011. She pursued her P.D. degree in inorganic chemistry in the department of chemistry in Tsinghua University from 2011 to 2016. Her research interest focused on the synthesis of functional ultrathin nanostructures for investigating their innovative assembly behaviors and unique properties.

Yong Yang was born in Hainan province of China. He received his Bachelor degree and Master degree from Northwest University in 2009 and 2012, respectively. He pursued his Ph.D. degree in inorganic chemistry at Tsinghua University from 2012 to 2016. He conducted research on the synthesis of ultrathin inorganic nanocrystals.

Yansong Xiong was born in Hubei province of China. He received his master degree from Fujian Institute of Research on the Structure of Matter, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2009 and then received his PhD from Tsinghua University and The National Center for nanoscience and Technology (China) in 2013. He was a postdoctoral researcher in Professor Xun Wang’s group from 2014.06-2016.06.

The chemist I revere the most is Pauling. He was a legend and what he achieved has impacted the development of modern chemistry profoundly. Shi Hu was born in Anqing, Anhui Province of China. He received his bachelor degree in chemistry from Nanjing University in 2006 with preliminary research work on Molecular Dynamics. He obtained PhD degree in chemistry from Tsinghua University (Beijing) in 2012 for his work on the growth, characterization and applications of ultrathin nanomaterials under the supervision of Dr. Xun Wang. Then he worked on the synthesis and opto-electrical properties of 2-dimesional nanomaterials as a postdoc in the group of Dr. Linyou Cao of North Carolina State University and is now working on materials for battery in the group of Dr. Donghai Wang of Penn State University. Zhuoran Ma received his B.S. from Tsinghua University in 2015. As an undergraduate, he worked in Prof. Wang's group for two years. His research interest was synthesis of multimetallic ultrathin nanosheets and electrocatalysis. He's now a graduate student at Stanford, working in Prof. Hongjie Dai's lab.
